Association and Chapter Bio
	Valley West Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP^®) chartered in Glendale, Arizona on August 19, 1982. IAAP (formerly Professional Secretaries International) works in partnership with employers to promote excellence among their administrative professionals.
IAAP is the world's premier association for administrative professionals. We are over 40,000 members strong with over 600 chapters worldwide. Our membership is comprised of secretaries, administrative assistants, executive assistants, office coordinators, and other related administrative professionals.
Valley West Chapter provides our members with interesting and educational topics at our monthly meetings, along with the opportunity to improve leadership skills through service as an officer or committee chair.
Valley West Chapter has reason to be proud. Four times in recent years, our International Association named Valley West a "Distinguished Chapter", and in 2008-2009, 2009-2010, as well as 2010-2011, Valley West Chapter earned the highly esteemed designation of "Chapter of Excellence", a designation that entails participation and excellence from our members.
Valley West Chapter serves the greater west valley, including Glendale, Peoria, the Sun Cities, Surprise and the Northwest Phoenix area. The Chapter is part of the Arizona-Nevada-New Mexico Division in the Southwest District of IAAP.
